I wrote the Obama campaign several days ago, asking for the names of those “experts” who support his tire-pressure fuel savings claim; no answer to that, of course, but I’m now on the Obama Campaign junk e-mail list. So I am all a-twitter at the news that Barack is on the cusp of announcing his VP choice and I could be among the first to know!
Frankly, I assume they’ll have that news in the paper, but here’s the junk e-mail, along with the sign-up information for anyone who simply can’t wait:

They must be really desperate to get email addresses. We’re likely to enjoy a lie-a-minute as the election gets closer.

I have never e-mailed them or given any information.
I read back during the primary about a woman who gave her work e-mail address and some how Obama ended up getting her home address. Not her home e-mail, her house address. She never gave out that information only her work address and she started receiving mail at her home inviting her to meeting just a few blocks away. She demand that he remove her information from the system. I really don’t know what ever happened and she was very upset that they dug into her life to get information she DID NOT give out.
One might want to be careful with what they tell the Obama campaign.
