Just when I start to think that the Obamaphiles’ Orgy Of Sexist Attacks is on the wane and I can turn my attention to other things . . . here they come again.  I guess some folks get a thrill out of banging their heads against a wall.  And now, today’s winnah is – -

Judith Warner!

In case you don’t know who she is – - and, truly, you are better off if you don’t – - Judith Warner writes a column for the New York Times (which made a strong run for today’s award but is disqualified for having won it previously) and has been described by John Podhoretz as “America’s most embarrassing online columnist.”  An excerpt from Judith Warner’s winning column:

“A woman’s preaching is like a dog’s walking on his hinder legs,” the wit once observed. “It is not done well; but you are surprized to find it done at all.”

Wow.  Well, Judith, with that one pithy, sexist quote, you managed to prove that one woman’s writing is like a pig walking on its hind legs. She oinks on:

Palin sounded, at times, like she was speaking a foreign language as she gave voice to the beautifully crafted words that had been prepared for her on Wednesday night.

But that wasn’t held against her. Thanks to the level of general esteem that greeted her ascent to the podium, it seems we’ve all got to celebrate the fact that America’s Hottest Governor (Princess of the Fur Rendezvous 1983, Miss Wasilla 1984) could speak at all.

I assume that the accents of clingy-small-town types are offensive to this sophisticated, cosmopolitan biddybrain.  Bet she’d really hate mine.  And apparently, Warner either is the last person alive to receive the news that Palin winged it after the teleprompter malfunctioned, or she knows that but won’t let the facts get in the way of a smarmy remark.  She continues:

Could there be a more thoroughgoing humiliation for America’s women?
